There is something magical about watching children grow alongside nature and the small rules of life. At the “Magia” Nursery, summer arrived with the scent of the earth and the water of a mountain pond: children and parents hand in hand, feeding the geese, discovering the horses, getting their fingers dirty while planting little seedlings in the garden. Not simple activities, but true moments of shared discovery, where every smile between a parent and their child becomes a memory that will remain.

And then the hunt for hidden litter in the garden, transformed into a team game that teaches — without saying it outright — how precious the world around us is.

At the “A. Gianelli” Preschool, the year was a journey of growth made of small but important steps: learning to cross the street, recognizing road signs, understanding the value of rules — not as prohibitions, but as gestures of love toward oneself and others. The visit to the Traffic Police, with the children sitting inside the patrol cars and their eyes full of wonder, made an important lesson tangible, one that will accompany them throughout their lives.

But the most moving moment came in June, with the end of year celebration. The children, protagonists of a little play that told the story of everything they had learned, also sang in English and Friulian, keeping their roots alive. And then came the farewell to the “big ones,” those ready for primary school: applause, smiles, and a few emotional tears among teachers and families, remembering years filled with games, friendships, and small daily achievements.

The year closed on July 14 with a water party in the school garden — splashes, laughter, buckets — the last gift before the holidays, a sweet way to say “see you soon.”
