There are writings that remain stored for years without anyone claiming them, as if they were silently waiting for the precise moment to return to our hands. This text, which the parish community dedicated to Sister Rimet when she left for Italy to attend a Gianellina formation gathering, is one of those gestures that Providence reserves for a specific moment — God’s moment. I found it by chance — or perhaps by grace — while looking for some envelopes, and when I held it again, I understood that it was not merely an old farewell, but a living testimony of what she sowed among those who knew and loved her.

She never remembered to ask me for it, nor did I remember to return it. Today, after her departure to the Father’s embrace, this writing returns as a word that opens at the right moment, as an echo of her simple, radiant, and selfgiving life. I share it with you as a grateful memory and as a silent tribute to a Daughter of Mary Most Holy of the Garden, whose presence left deep marks in every community she touched.

Farewell to Sister Rimet

Today our Parish is living a very special moment, marked by deep feelings of joy, affection, and an anticipated longing. Our dear Sister Rimet, a woman of steadfast faith, generous heart, and luminous witness, has been chosen and blessed for an important mission: to participate in a formation program at the Vatican, the heart of our Church.

We feel immense pride knowing that the testimony of her life — so full of faith, dedication, and love, and which strengthened our community so profoundly — will now be shared in sacred lands. Her journey has always been a reflection of Christ’s love, Mary’s simplicity, and the strength of the Holy Spirit. And now, with this new step, she carries with her not only her suitcase, but also our hearts, our prayers, and all the faith of our community.

Every gesture of hers, every word of comfort, every moment of prayer shared among us will remain as fertile seed along our paths. Her loving and steady presence was always a clear sign of God’s care among us.

We will miss her serene voice, her contagious joy, her active presence in every moment of parish life, and her unique way of bringing God closer through small gestures of tenderness, welcome, and service. Every shared word, every guided prayer, and every smile will leave eternal marks in our hearts.

But more than longing, we feel gratitude. Thank you, Sister Rimet, for everything you planted among us with so much love. May this new stage be filled with divine grace; may the Holy Spirit guide you with wisdom, peace, and strength; and may Our Lady, mother of us all, always remain at your side as Mother, intercessor, and companion on the journey.

Here we will remain united in prayer, certain that your mission is now also an extension of our parish’s love for the world. Go in peace, with the certainty that you will always have a home here and many hearts that love you deeply. We look forward with joy to receiving many photos and hearing about your experiences!
