The 5th Grade Primary class took part in an important Europewide English Language Competition: @thebigchallenge.
The result? One of our students, Giulia Lulli, won the First Regional Prize (she is 21st in Italy), and three other students from the same class achieved the Second Prize (they are 29st in Italy), all with the same score and therefore tied!
Their teacher, Prof. Carlotta Ramezzana, had shining eyes when she told me about the brilliant performance of her students.
The children had to complete, in one hour, a computerbased English test covering both grammar and extensive vocabulary knowledge. The completed tests were sent directly to France, where they were corrected along with those from other European countries.
WE’RE SO PROUD!!!
The award ceremony was attended by the children and their parents, the Principal Dr. Benedetta Bondesan, their teacher Carlotta, other teachers, and… many friends and supporters.
The Istituto Gianelli, ranked 27th in Europe among the many participating schools, received an honorary trophy, which will forever commemorate this achievement!
Saint Antonio Gianelli wrote almost two centuries ago: “Let each one seek what is good, choose what is excellent and perfect!”
This is the quality of educational commitment we always aim for as we continue his mission: the integral formation of young people through wellmotivated study, which builds new skills and, when encouraged and valued, fosters responsibility and growth.
